Energetic Osteopathy: Returning to the Roots of Healing

I didn’t understand energy work until I stopped separating it from science.

The first time I heard of energy healing, I thought the therapist was pretending, or maybe just a little lazy.
The second time, I figured the practitioner just liked to hear himself talk. I’ve met plenty of psychics and Reiki masters, and while I was always curious, I couldn’t quite grasp the concept or picture what was happening enough to use it.

I loved science, muscles, nerves, and the mechanics of how the body functions as a unit. That’s what made sense to me.

Over time, I noticed a pattern: many therapists drifted toward energy work toward the end of their careers. I tried a few sessions. Honestly, most of them didn’t do anything for me. It all felt too vague, too detached, like they had left their hands behind.

But then something started to shift.

The Realization

After 30 years in this industry, I discovered something unexpected: it’s not about massage vs. energy. It’s about finding the current that connects them. What we actually need is an energetic massage. Not fluff, not bypassing the structures, but learning how to let the nervous system melt instead of being hammered into submission.

Here’s the part that no one taught us:

We were trained to believe that in order to go “deep,” we had to push hard. And yes, that kind of pressure can trigger temporary pain relief, but it doesn’t last or correct the problem, because we didn’t access the root of the pattern.

The Secret I Found

What if you could go deep without putting your body at risk of injury, burnout, or overuse?

What if you could blend energy into your touch so your client’s body opens instead of fights? What if the release came from invitation, not force?

Here’s what I found:
Blending energy into massage isn’t just possible, it’s powerful, and it’s not some generic “woo” technique you copy from a book or a 10-step sequence. Each therapist has a unique energetic “channel” that they naturally draw on for healing. To teach it, I had to learn how to read each person’s energy, help them find their channel, and bring that into their work.

Once my mentees could recognize their unique “superpower,” we created a custom approach that was deeply in line with their personal energy. Their clients noticed the difference right away: “You work with purpose now,” or “My body responds well to this new approach”. You don’t need to say “I’m trying something new”, it’s a slow shift that happens effortlessly.

How and why does energy work… work?
A human being is an electrical, vibrational system, with a nervous system at its core. When you learn to read that system instead of overriding it with what you think someone needs, you begin doing true energy work. Becoming energy literate means you can listen to what the body is saying, then respond in a way that actually helps it regulate, unwind, and heal. Psychics aren’t magical, they’re just tuned into their “channel,” the way they naturally sense vibration. Your channel might come through touch, sight, sound, emotion, or deep inner knowing. The magic isn’t in the gift, it’s in the translation. And once you learn how to read the signals, you stop guessing and start guiding.
What exactly are you reading? That’s a whole other post.
